Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski is suggesting that oil companies use direction drilling from state lands to tap into the oil reserves beneath the Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge estimated at 10 Billion barrel's of crude.
If oil technology permitted the extraction of oil from from outside the boundaries of ANWR would the environmentalists caribou nonsense cease? I predict that by tomorrow they will be up and arms over this proposal proving it isn't about the caribou at all.
