Going high tech. Each racer is carrying a GPS tracking device, which allows you to go on line and follow the race in real time. It shows each mushers position, current speed and distance traveled. It is really pretty cool except there is a $35 fee for the service by becoming an Iditarod Insider at Iditarod.com. The woman that lets me live with her surprised me with the subscription yesterday, I'm sure she has something up her sleeve.
