The Road to Dystopia: The Obama Fiasco.

Barack Obama is obviously a very intelligent man, and should be a popular and successful president. But his mandate for profound reform and a steam-cleaning of the Augean Stable of Washington is being squandered. So far the change is more of the same, only worse.

The Obama administrations "change" only looks worse if you are viewing them through the lens of past "transformative" presidents such as Reagan or Roosevelt. Those presidents largely worked within the framework of American institutions and historical political norms.

Obama is, pardon the phrase, a horse of a different color. He is a radical that plans to upend the status quo and transform America into his own image. What most view as ineffectiveness or failure is in reality what a socialist revolution would look like when it finally comes, full force, to America. An Obama Fiasco? Hardly.
